Getting Wales Rugby Tickets and going to see Wales take on another team live is a very special moment, and Cardiff truly comes alive for this occasion, it’s a time when men and women get together to support the team of their country.

Cardiff on match day is quite electric, the bustling pubs, the busy streets, the train from the valleys full of a sea of red jerseys and laughter, one can’t ask for a better day out than when you have a couple of Wales rugby tickets.

As they close Mary Street off to accommodate the eighty thousand fans who come to see this spectacle of rugby you can see a charge of red shirts and wide eyed expectant faces many with the three feathers painted on to their cheeks, these Welsh fans have a love of the game more than most countries and they love nothing more than going into the stadium to watch the game live themselves.

They queue up at the Millennium Stadium waiting eagerly to hand over their Welsh tickets in order to get to their seats before anything starts. You will hear them chanting mae hen wlad fy nhadau at the top of their voices in that magnificent stand when the anthem is sung at the beginning, this really gets the mood rising and the hearts thumping.

I often wonder what it must be like to be one of the players on the pitch when there are eighty thousand Wales rugby tickets holding fans singing at the top of their voices, it must really be an incredible moment and perhaps one that makes all the years of training and pushing to be the best in their position worthwhile.

What a magnificent stadium the millennium stadium is and when they shut the roof the noise of the fans make this one of the best and perhaps most daunting cauldrons in rugby today, so much so that some teams who come will insist on the roof being open, as they have the right to decide this under the rules.

When we look back to the history of Welsh rugby we find a team that has been magical at times but has also had its moments of poorer rugby. The most recent spell of not so good rugby was epitomised by loss and dumping out of the 2007 World Cup by Fiji, this resulted in the sacking of Gareth Jenkins with a caretaker coach being instated until they found their replacement coach.

Warren Gatland has done so much for this now world class welsh team, whilst the players were always there it seems that they were just lacking proper coaching and Warren certainly seemed to provide this as Wales went from being beaten in the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup in 2007 to winning the six nations title and a Grand Slam in 2008 and lets not forget the impact that Shaun Edwards has had on the defensive effort, the crowd acknowledge this by singing at the top of their voices, ‘Edwards is a welsh name, Edwards is a Welsh name’. All of this combined means that there are rarely any tickets left by the time it comes to match day.

At this time Wales are building to winning the next Rugby World Cup which is in New Zealand in 2011 and who can dispute that they are one of the forces to be reckoned with in World rugby today, they are starting to come a lot closer to beating Southern Hemisphere sides like New Zealand and South Africa and are matching these teams around the field with their fitness.

Some say that Wales are the best side in Europe at the moment but can they prove they have what it takes to become the best side in the world? Only time will tell.

There are so many outstanding players in the Welsh squad of today, Gethin Jenkins, Shane Williams and Jaime Roberts who won man of the match for the Lions tour in South Africa to name but a few. Martin Williams, Leigh Halfpenny, Mike Phillips, the list just goes on. There is no reason with world class players like this that Wales could make it through to the late stages of the next World Cup and possibly even win it.

Other countries should take stock of Wales as they really are a force to be reckoned with and a real prospect for the next rugby world cup. So get your Wales rugby tickets now and watch this fantastic team playing live.

Six Nations 2012 News Update

After what can only be described as a brilliant Rugby World Cup for Wales there are high hopes for the upcoming 6 Nations Tournament this year. They may have come away with little to show from the Rugby World Cup but one thig they di come away with was a huge amount of respect and admiration. There is much to look forward to with Welsh Rugby in it's current form with lots of youth in the current team and much talent coming through the ranks, it really is an exciting time to be a Welsh rugby supporter.

For the 2012 Six Nations the news so far is that the players are to return to the cold depths of the Poland Spala Training Camp which served them so well for the World Cup, they are to spend two weeks training and more importantly bonding away from the goldfish bowl that is Welsh Rugby and it's associated media.

Some good news to come out is that star World Cup scrum half Mike Phillips and full back Lee Byrne are to be released for this extended training camp and there is also hope that the same will come for James Hook who is currently plying his trade for Perpignan in France.

A question that is probably on everybodies mind is will Gavin Henson feature in this years 6 Nations, he certainly divides opinion but no one can doubt the natural talent that the man has, currently showing some class touches in the little rugby he's played for the Cardiff Blues. It can probably be expected that Gav will make an appearance at this years tournement provided he can stay injury free that is.

The next update will come when the Welsh Squad are announced, who can wait? Not long now.
